Here’s what the Least Important Podcast is all about and where we’re headed.

What’s the Least Important Things Podcast?

Least Important Things is a podcast about celebrating the most important of the least important things in pop culture and entertainment. In a world that’s increasingly divided, the seemingly insignificant things in our lives are what give us connection and purpose.

From characters on the big screen to the colors of our favorite team, we are determined by what we love—no matter how trivial it seems.

This show is an exploration of who we are through the least important things that give us purpose.

You can learn more about our mission and values here.

How Can I Contribute to Least Important Things?

We’re more than a podcast. We have articles and a community of supporters seeking to celebrate, inspire, and delight in the least important things that give us purpose. And guess what? We’re looking for contributors.

If you have an idea for a podcast but don’t have time to set one up, why not join me as a miniseries producer? I’ll handle the tech side, and you bring the idea and conversation.

Do you have thoughts about a new album and need to get them on paper? Do you have a crazy celebrity story you’re dying to share? Are you a student or young professional looking to build your resume? I’m looking for submissions. Check out our articles to get the tone and feel.

Or do you just need to vent about the latest DC movie? Leave a voicemail, send me an email, or DM.

Who’s the Host of Least Important Things?

Luke Ferris is the host of a podcast called Least Important Things.

“Now, that's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long time […]

Of course, I know him. He’s me.”

I’m quoting Obi-Wan Kenobi here, one because it’s a classic line, and second, because I’m the creator, voice, and name behind Least Important Things.

But I’m not interested in keeping it that way. The podcast is independent and listener-driven. I’m looking for people to join me on this quest to find cultural significance in everything from 90s action movies to the legacy of 1960s pop art.

Together, I hope we can create Least Important Things into a community with little to do with ME and everything to do with WE.

Expect new faces and voices to join the LIT family. In the meantime, here’s the team so far:

  • Luke Ferris is the creator, host, and producer.

  • Jay Ferris is the executive producer.

  • Curtis Felten created the branding and design.

  • YOU the listeners and community

To live with unreasonable

Passion for things.”
